        Ted Turner saw the Open Mics that Pat and Bluebird owner, Amy Kurland were broadcasting with some help from some retired NASA nerds and made it into a TV series on his Turner South network. It ran 5 years, even got an Emmy Nomination.

        Amy landed him a "real" in a Sandra Bullock movie, The Thing Called Love with River Phoenix, Sandra Bullock, Samantha Mathis, Dermont Mulroney, produced by film making legend Peter Bogdonovich!

        Aside from these obvious influences, Pat's quirky movie making style comes from loving his subject matter and shooting within the limitations of a Sony Handycam and Studio Plus editing software.
